One of the main summer events in the RDU area is the giant sunflower field in Dorothea Dix Park. We first went there in mid-July, when most of the flowers were about to fully bloom. I told myself I must come back to shoot a timelapse before it was too late. However, my procrastination habit kicked in, and being intolerant to high heat and humidity, I waited until two weeks later to finally gear up and shoot the sunflower sunset timelapse. Well, as you can see, the timing was not great at all, the flowers are wilting, plus in the middle of the shoot, some crazy clouds were forming and it started to rain. Even though the conditions weren't ideal for the timelapse, I'm determined to come back again next year to see the sunflowers bloom.
